It’s easy to do nothing in Kathmandu. Especially after you’ve been propelling yourself up mountains for two weeks, but Mike and I managed to do something one day and went for a small trip to the hilltop Buddhist site, Swayambhu.
It dominates the hilltop and is visible from almost everywhere in Kathmandu. There are rows upon rows of prayer wheels surrounding the large stupa and amazing views of sprawling Kathmandu.
